About Me/ Contact

I'm an artist living in the Dallas, TX area and was always one of those creative, artsy kids.  I never stopped drawing and eventually studied it in college at Kilgore College, the University of Texas at Dallas, and the University of North Texas.  I love 3-D crafts and art but still enjoy 2-D art when I get the urge.

I have work shown at two Man's Best Friend locations, in Carrollton and McKinney, Tx.  It was a wonderful experience and I realized that I didn't have any place where I showcase my work.  After working on a fox tail for a cosplay costume, I realized that it would be a lot of fun to blog about the whole experience of getting crafty, dealing with "happy accidents" and the occasional failures when I go beyond what I know and try something new.

That last part happens more than I'd like because I'm a lifelong learner and always on the lookout for new and interesting techniques and crafts that I haven't tried.  I love creative problem solving and get a whole lot of opportunity to practice it on my art, and occasionally with the dogs.

The photos here on this page are from the daycare room at the MBF in Carrollton.  They're all portraits of the regulars that I care for every day.  It's a fun, if dirty to spend my days, but art is where my heart really is.

I grew up in science fiction/fantasy fandom and love the genre, as well as horror.  I draw a lot of inspiration from the shows, movies, and books that capture my imagination and like to combine them with the skills I've picked up in my Misspent Youth to come up with something unique.

I can do comissions on any piece shown here on the blog, just contact me for details.  You can find pieces for sale on my Etsy shop or by clicking on the "shop" tab above.

You can also find me on
